As the central repository on Sourceforge is hosted on a UNIX system, the standard for all source files (.c, .h ) is UNIX style line endings (LF). 

All decent editors and IDEs for the Windows environment support this. Look for a setting titled 'line endings' or similar.

~- **Notepad** does not support this feature and uses carriage return + line feed by default. So you can't use this editor.
~- **Wordpad** does not support this feature. So it can't be used.
